The recognition followed the announcement of the nominations for the 2024 King’s Award for Enterprise in which the company’s porta• ble blood transport system, developed for the NHS, was named in the Innovation category.
The business, which is led by CEO Paul Harrison, manufactures a range of temperature control insulated systems. Since pioneering a
way for the Ministry of Defence to solve the problem of food melting on the quayside the company has gone from strenght to strength.
In addition, one of its biggest advantages is its compatibility with automated packing systems and robotics, making it a seamless and efficient solution to the cold chain industry. Produced in line with Polar Thermal’s commitment to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards, the dot Box has also been endorsed by the Cold Chain Federation. It highlights the product’s exceptional performance, reliability, and eco-friendly design. At the Made in Britain awards, Jon Moss, Customer Engagement Director at Fortnum & Mason, who judged the Innovation category, noted the product’s versatility and how it can be applied to both fresh and frozen food.”
